Leguminosae. Zones 8-11. This south Texas native was initially introduced into cultivation by the late Lynn Lowery of Texas and rightfully so. Can grow to 60 feet in time, producing lacy mimosa-like foliage and terminal clusters of small white, cinnamon-vanilla scented flowers through the warm months. The wood and the seeds of this plant are also cinnamon-vanilla scented. A stunning tree for warm gardens. Attractive to butterflies. Well-drained soil, full sun. Drought tolerant.
