Gesneriaceae. Zones 7b-10. Fuzzy narrow african violet-like foliage producing offset rosettes to form an attractive clump in time, capped with stalks of long, pure white, tubular blossoms in late spring through summer. Great accent at the front of a hosta border or lightly shaded garden. Will also tolerate full sun in a wind-sheltered site. The tubers can be lifted and stored for winter in colder zones. This has reproduced from seed for us in our garden. Well-drained garden soil.
